Faith and Fjords exists to awaken hearts in the Nordics to the transforming power of the Gospel. Proclaiming Christ, making disciples, restoring hope, renewing faith, and building a community anchored in His love.
The Calling
We believe God has called us to Norway to invest deeply in the people through one-on-one discipleship. We have seen that many people know about Jesus, but have never had someone walk beside them to show what it truly means to follow Him. Our desire is to build authentic relationships where people can be real, ask questions, and grow in faith without fear of judgment.
In Norway, about 68% of the population is registered in Christian churches, yet less than 3% attend regularly. Many see faith as a tradition rather than a personal relationsip with God. In addition, the influence of government-run churches has led to unbiblical, watered-down teaching that does not reflect the fullness of the gospel found in Scripture.
We believe Christ is calling us to proclaim the whole truth of the gospel- the truth that saves, transforms and calls us to holiness. Our mission is to make disciples who know God’s word and are firmly planted to withstand any storm. We long to see people live out their faith boldy for the savior who set them free and to see them multiply it into the lives of others around them, regardless of background or the cultural pressure to compromise. Jesus is not only Savior, but Shepherd-and it is our joy to follow Him into the hills, the harbors, and the hidden places to find the one He loves. We hope to open our home and lives and create a place of refuge, fellowship and spiritual growth, welcoming all who are hungry for the truth.
Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 —”Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — is at the center of our calling. Just as Paul took the gospel wherever he went — even working as a tentmaker to be present in the community (Acts 18:1-3). We believe that ministry happens not just in church buildings, but in homes, worksplaces, coffee shops, and everyday life. Our goal is to be present in the community, living out the gospel and helping others do the same.

Meet the DeLaGarza Family
We are Tim and Kimberly DeLaGarza, the heart behind Faith and Fjords and we believe that family is one of God’s most powerful vessels for ministry. Together with our four children -Syrrah (7), Ezra (6), Adaline (4) and William (8 months)-we are following on mission, carrying the hope of Christ into the heart of Norway.
Our home is a place of worship, discipleship, and daily surrender. Whether it’s reading the Word around the table, praying for friends and neighbors, hosting others, or simply walking in love through ordinary moments, we believe the gospel begins in our home and radiates outward. We want our children to grow up knowing that the mission field is not just a place-but a way of life, wherever Jesus leads.
As we step into full-time missions, our hearts are set on relational ministry, intentional discipleship, and building a community grounded in the truth of God’s Word. Each member of our family plays a part-whether it’s Syrrah offering bold prayers, Ezra sharing stories with friends, Adaline lighting up a room with her joy, or William being a sweet reminder of God’s tender moments and timing.
We don’t have it all figured out, but we know the One who does. And we’re choosing to trust Him-to lead, to provide, and to use our family, just as we are, to bring His light to the fjords and beyond.
